Finally time come for Madhya Pradesh people to vote and elect a govt, who will rule them for next five years. Madhya Pradesh is very crucial state now for BJP in context of 2014 election also. Madhya Pradesh have 29 members of Parliament and BJP is expecting not less 20 - 22. Madhya pradesh is key for Mr. Modi to become prime minister. It all depends on performance of BJP in assembly & 2014 election. Here i would like to focus on assembly election scheduled on November 2013.
What's in favors of BJP:
As per all the poll predictions & surveys conducted by various agencies in state for 2014 elections showing trends in favor of BJP. Anti incumbency for central Govt. is major concern for congress. Since last 2 assembly polls also BJP swept congress in state. BJP cader is strong and well enough able to continue the same result in next election also. BJP is much confident b'coz of Shivraj Singh's leadership. Shivraj has done well work with his social program. In his tenure not only state industrial growth has been increased but agriculture growth also. In opposition Congress don't have any leader who can lead the party and motivate their party workers. In spite of that under Shivraj leadership party is united and performing well. Shivraj's clean image is also a major factor in favor of BJP. In addition of all these M.P. is Hindu dominated state. About 85 - 90% population are Hindus. R.S.S. actively works here and dominate in the region. That suits BJP's & Modi's Hindutva politics.
One of the last but not least factor which gives advantage to BJP over Congress is Mr. Digvijay Singh's tenure as a chief minister during 1993-2003. Road and electricity were the major issues of the state. Road were in the worst condition at that time and most of the places electricity was available only for few hours in a day. Here i am not saying that for power crisis; wholly Digvijay singh was responsible. Due to separation of Chattisgarh from Madhya Pradesh, power crisis started. But people of Madhya Pradesh thinks that due to mis-governance of Digvijay Singh they have faced all these problems. Diggi govt. were able to handle the situation; but they have not reacted on time and people of state got punishment. So people thinks that any how Shivraj govt. is doing much better than Digvijay govt; so why they should take unnecessarily risk and put themselves in trouble.
Challenges for BJP:
As all of you know that since 10 year BJP is ruling in the state and most of the MLA are since then. the major problem for BJP is anti incumbency against local legislators. In many constituency people says they are happy with Shivraj's working but not with local legislator. Its same like Gujrat and Bihar, where people were happy with Modi and Nitish but not with local legislators. Modi and Nitish did smart work and not given tickets to about 30-40% existing MLAs. Which worked in favor of them and they got majority in the assembly. Will Shivraj follow them or make his own way to win or will come in pressure of them and lose the election; all time will say.
